Martin Luther King. Jr. was born in 15th of Jan. We have Martin Luther King Jr. day in the month of Jan. here in the states. This year is his 80th birthday if he was living. Jason and I went to Granny's church today to attend the Martin Luther King Jr.'s commemoration ceremony which was held at Granny's church. We've had a guest speaker from KY Human Rights Commission and he made a wonderful speech about our current and past history. Our family attending majority white congregation for regular Sunday services, but today we are blessed with real soul music!

On the 20th, Barak Obama will be our first African American President!
I feel so previledged to be able to witness the history change. I hope America will change for the better!
今日は、マーチンルーサーキングジュニア牧師の生誕８０歳を祝う集会に、ジェームスのママの会員になっている教会に行ってきました。 ２０日には、アメリカで初の黒人大統領が誕生します。 アメリカでは、キング牧師の誕生日が祝日となっています。 丁度このような歴史的なイベントの日程が重なり、感慨深いものがります。 教会には、人権運動家の方がスピーチにこられていて、現在また過去の歴史を演説されました。 普段は、我々家族は、白人が大多数の教会の礼拝に通っているので、今日の教会での音楽はとても楽しく聞くことができました。

Jason is swimming!
Jason wants to swim so bad, but we haven't got a swimming pool.
For now, this is the best we can do... James today said that he will
get us a underground swimming pool today! So I am recording this to this web site! Here's Jason swimming!
ジェイソン、泳いでます！ プールがないので、これがせいいっぱいです！
でも、ジェームスがプール作ってくれるといっているので、期待します！
庭も広いし、これは頑張って作ってもらいたいと思います！

Kim-chi
Using my vacation, I've decided to make some Kim-chi this time. I went to Nashville to get all the ingredients and I got it done quite easy. James loves the HOT stuff, so I know that Kim-chi will come in handy during the winter! So far it tastes pretty good, so I am thankful. Hopefully you will be able to imagine what it tastes like!
この年末を休みをつかって、キムチを大量に漬けました。 ナッシュビルのアジアンマーケットで、大中２０カブほどの入った白菜を１箱購入しました。 ２１ドルでした。 材料も簡単に手に入りますし、全部をつけるのには、少し手間もかかりましたが、出来合いを買うよりも、ずいぶん安くおいしいので、労苦も気になりません！ 写真だけですが、おいしさをお届けしまーーーす！

２００９年ですね！ 2009 is here...almost!
１０月にブログをはじめたものの、ぜんぜん更新できてなくてすみません。
といっても、このブログは、沢山の皆さんにまだお知らせしていないので、大丈夫ですね。
我が家も無事にこの２００８年を終えることができそうです。 神様に本当に感謝です。
皆様も良いお年をお迎え下さいませ。 来年もさらに素晴らしい年になりますように、
心よりお祈り申し上げます！ 私は、仕事が２週間ほど休みなので、今日３１日は、
大晦日なので、パイでも作って、夜は、ラザニア？ または、なべ料理にして、新しい年を
迎えたいと思っております。 来年は、 しっかりこのブログを更新してゆきたいと思います。
